How Regenerative, Are We Really?, with Daniel Firth Griffith
Community builds unity, unity without community destroys its own foundation. This podcast episode has caused more disunity and simultaneously more community than any I have ever recorded. Enjoy!
In this episode, recorded just before my Keynoting of the 2023 Force Of Nature Conference in Fredericksburg, Texas at ROAM Ranch, Kyle and I discuss the stale nature of Regenerative Agriculture and its recurrent ability to colonize, mechanize, and continue its slavery to the industrial system.Â
Sitting on his ranch’s elevated porch and looking across the lazily undulating vistas of the Central Texas landscape as they algebraically rise into the famous Texas hill country, Kyle and I shared a moment that I will soon not forget. It was one of those moments that, no matter how hard one may try, it forever stays beyond the human ability to let it go from memory, from spirit. We had ten to fifteen people—old friends, new friends—watching as he and I recorded this lengthy and long conversation.
We talk all things regenerative agriculture, rewilding, cover crops and so much more. This episode got me in trouble with Force of Nature … you’ll see why.
"The homie Daniel Griffith is on the land for this episode. We talk regen ag of course, but it goes deeper than that. He gets into questioning how sustainable is your practice without inputs or contributing to the degeneration of our world and in turn, us. It was a veritable call to arms to take the macro of all macro views of the movement towards regenerative life." - Kyle Kingsbury
