Congratulations! I agree with you totally about social media followers, seems publishers (and art galleries too) are only interested in guaranteed sales and are no longer willing to take even the smallest risk on truly good work. It's sad. It all has to be easy and simple; complexity (as in real life and true beauty) is just too hard for most these days. I think you are doing great work and I am delighted to be part of your community of followers, and ready to engage in deeper thought and conversation when the time comes.

Thank you Jeanine! I agree with you—most modern books (and art) feel as though they are written to sell and not written to awaken those who commune with them. Blessings to you! Thankful to have you here, with us ❤️

Congratulations! Its better to be good than popular, I don't see much space in your writing shed for social media anyway. I come from a background that values skills and ability while striving to be quiet professionals, I am starting to learn that the good agrarians act similar. Writing and publishing a book outside of the established system is an impressive feat, keep up the good work and I cant wait to read a copy.

Thanks Ryan! I agree wonderfully—the still life is often more rewarding to oneself and the manyselves around it. Stay tuned…big things up ahead as we work to independently publish!

Congratulations! As Gary Snyder said, the most important thing is to "get the word done."

Shit. Beautiful words DFG. And in your reply to Jeanine (hi Jeanine, not talking past you; including you) am warmed by your saying that writing is communing. This is such a simple powerful important difference and, along with your deep mouldering steps and words entwined with the pasture your souls are aching on, makes me shiver and relax a bit that all is not lost.

It worth repeating what the moose already knows: that language is not communication, it is communing.

Ah, it feels good to have followed a path to where a fence used to be, but where the air now grows wild with satisfaction and repair.
